The return of Lowry and Perreault giving the Jets 4 lines with the ability to score.

Too funny Wesley.

I have no idea what the sabres will do to break this horrible run they are on.

They probably have absolutely no interest in trading Eichel, Dahlin or Cozens and those are the three everyone would be willing to do a large deal for.

Clearly Ristolainen has been available all year and no team has offered up anything of value to Buffalo or the trade would have been made

15 million tied up in Skinner and Okposo doesn’t help. Not sure how they move those guys???

I am very curious what they do.

Reunite the 2015 line and put Copp with Lowry and Perreault and the Jets have 4 lines that can score. I agree that the #2 center is still a problem but unless Roslovic gets a fair chance playing there Eakins will have to do for now. Thanks for the article Wesley.

I agree with you but Pomo doesn’t know how to run 4 lines

The Skinner contract is a killer one for the Sabres, not sure how they get rid of that. Olofsson has been a pleasant surprise for the Sabes.

Ristolainen or Montour would interest me as a Jet, may not take a very high price. Of course that depends on what else is on the market - say a Dumba for example.

Ah, yea, Jets won, but thought they would dominate more. But wishful thinking I guess, and a win is a win! So onwards and upwards!

I agree with the 2015 line, but Eakin should be a healthy scratch, not 2C.
Copp has earned that job, and the 4th line should be Perreault and Lowry with Shore (but Mo will never scratch Eakin, so Eakin)

Dumba runs a good powerplay, but is meh at 5 on 5, Montour isn’t very good, and Ristolainen is straight up horrible.

Go for Miller or Brodin

Miller is so over rated by anylitics. He is not that good.

Like the 2015 line will ever see 15 mins a game, now that Lowry and Perreault are back.
Will they even be together to play their 6-8 mins a game or is it more likely Shore stays in and one of Appleton/Harkins comes out.

This is how terrible the Jets depth scoring is. They are the only team with 5 forwards with 50+ points in the NHL, yet they are currently 19th in GF/GM.

Not sure it would be possible trade them, but both Okposo and Skinner are on terrible contracts. Yes they can score goals, but at the end of the day they will be outscored 5v5. Okposo is on his 8th consecutive minus season, and he get offensive zone starts quite regularly. Skinner is absolutely useless when he is without the puck. It doesn't make sense to have 15M committed to two players that bring so little to the table. The Kahun trade looks to be a good one, as Sheary wasn't a difference maker and Rodrigues demanded out. The simmonds acquisition left me confused, but its a small loss.
Jets were the dominant team in all facets of the this game. The officiating was terrible, and the Jets deserved 3 more power plays then they had recieved. Luckily that didn't change the outcome.

I have said it many times, their top 6 is amongst the best in the league. Tanev left a big hole on the 3rd line. But I kinda think Ras or Ehlers could bring much better balance, and like the idea of trying Ehlers at C:

Connor Scheiffs Wheeler
Laine Ehlers Ras
Copp Eakins Perrault
Harkins Lowry Appleton

Does anyone here know many games the 2015 line were together for and against which teams?

Minnie needs to make some moves. As of 2023-2024 season, they have 4 players inked for 28.7M, with an average age of 37. 3 of those contracts will still be in effect the season after! yikes. Jets don't break the 30+ plane on any contract year as of now thankfully.

But we do have the Wheeler and Little contracts
